Welcome to the Municipality of Argostoli’s internet portal. Our municipality has expanded its old borders and is now the largest municipality not only in Kefalonia but in the Ionian Islands region as well.
The Municipality of Argostoli is the “heart” of the island. Besides the capital of the island, the city of Argostoli, and its suburbs, 10 other communities have been incorporated to the Municipality since 1999. This makes it a geographical and administrative entity blessed and gifted by nature, hospitable and friendly to visitors and humane to its citizens who enjoy continuous great bonds of social cohesion.
